Since the 1^st of March www.balsas.cc has joined “Migrating Reality Project” and is a discussion and publication platform for the whole project. Texts (interviews, essays, etc) and audio-visual works are going to be published on the online journal. We are planning to prepare a printed publication by the end of the year.

www.balsas.cc is an e-zine (officially called e-journal on media culture) and is based in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is already running the 4^th year and is the only one publication in Lithuania covering these topics: media culture, (new) media (art), intersections of art, technology and science, media philosophy, net culture and politics.

It was founded by artists Nomeda & Gediminas Urbonas, media theorists and activists Geert Lovink and Vytautas Michelkevicius which is the chief editor of the journal till now.

Balsas.cc is actively involved in developing critical media culture in Lithuania: publishing essays, translating articles and organizing various seminars (like Vilnius Media Seminar together with Belarusian activists)

Since its launch the e-zine was already published two times as a newspaper: in 2007 April as a collection of articles (PDF) and in 2007 October as a thematic newspaper Asteroid Voice (PDF) on immateriality and speculativeness in the art and beyond.

Journal is published mostly in Lithuanian, but English reader will find also some texts in English www.balsas.cc/english
